At the end of last year, Founding Director Michelle and practitioner Sophia travelled to Bromsgrove to attend the HR Forum facilitated by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce sponsored by Hewett Recruitment | BCorp™.
Michelle gave an insightful talk on Child to Parent Abuse ( CPA ) and the impact on employment. Michelle shared the details of PEGS child to parent abuse covenant (CPAC), a Department for Work and Pensions backed employer’s convent that PEGS launched in October 2021 and how the covenant could help employers, HR professionals and those with a managerial role to support colleagues who are experiencing child to parent abuse. There were some thought-provoking questions around the prevalence of CPA and the visibility of CPA in society which Michelle had the opportunity to reply too.
Michelle and Sophia also heard a talk from Darryll Thomas, Partner at mfg Solicitors LLP on Subject Access requests and there was a opportunity to participate in a retention activity headed by Dawn Hardman, HR Director at the Chamber of Commerce.
PEGS has been part of the Chamber since 2021 and they have provided support, guidance, training and events which we are thankful to be part of. You can find out more about the Chamber here https://hwchamber.co.uk/
We would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for asking us along and extend our thanks to the whole team who were part of this event. PEGS looks forward to attending more events during 2024.
