Our Founder Michelle has been honoured with a special High Sheriff Award in recognition of the work PEGS does to support parents, carers, and professionals.
The outgoing High Sheriff of Warwickshire, Min Willoughby de Broke, presented Michelle with the award as part of her final duties in office, and said:
“The High Sheriff Awards are designed to recognise and honour organisations, groups, and individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to their communities, who do incredible things, and who make a genuine difference to the lives of others.
“I had the privilege during my shrieval year of being introduced to Michelle and, having learned about the work she and her team do to support those in need, I acknowledged very quickly how deserving of recognition she was. Her organisation is remarkable, and I know that the work they’re doing not only in Warwickshire but across the entire country, is changing the lives of so many people.”
PEGS was also gifted a donation from the High Sheriff Endowment Fund via the Heart of England Community Foundation.
Michelle said: “Myself and the whole PEGS team are so proud to have been presented with this award and are honoured to have the work we do within our communities recognised in this way. The donation also kindly given to us by the High Sheriff will help us continue to support families in very real need, and we’re hugely grateful.”
