Domestic abuse award nomination from Clear Path UK

Harriet Ernstsons-Evans • September 14, 2022

Our founder Michelle is delighted to have been shortlisted for a domestic abuse award, alongside a host of amazing campaigners and advocates.

Michelle is in the running for the Clear Path UK Change Maker Award, alongside Sharon Livermore of Sharon’s Policy; Kerry, Sara and Lucy of Moving Forward Lincoln; Pat Craven of the Freedom Programme; and Dani Wallace of the Fly Anyway Foundation (anyone who attended the PEGS CPA Conference earlier this year will remember Dani as the fantastic event host!).

Other categories include Innovative Excellence, Cycle Breaker, Diamond Heart and Outstanding Advocate – the latter of which MP Jess Phillips has been nominated for (Jess kindly contributed to our very first virtual event, Progressing PEGS, back in October 2021).

The winners will be announced at the Clear Path UK Conference on 7th October at PwC headquarters in Watford – a day which is set to include a host of amazing speakers, a celebrity host, and live entertainment.

Clear Path UK Coalition is a community interest company that provides resources to professionals and organisations dealing with domestic abuse, as well as offering free access to support services for those who’ve experienced abuse.

Michelle said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Clear Path UK Change Maker Award. The finalists are a group of fantastic individuals who work tirelessly to improve services and outcomes for those who have experienced domestic abuse.

“As the founder of an organisation which focuses on a type of domestic abuse which has traditionally remained hidden, it’s always incredible to receive an award nomination – as this raises awareness of Child to Parent Abuse among a whole new group of people.

“I’d encourage everyone to take a look at the campaigns of the finalists, because they are doing such incredible work and influencing real change in the world, bettering life for a group of people who desperately need access to improved services, more support, and advocates on their side.”
