Nominate your CPA Hero

Those going above and beyond to support parents experiencing Child to Parent Abuse are set to be recognised.

During the first ever CPA Awareness Day on Friday (14th October), PEGS Founding Director Michelle John announced the launch of our ‘CPA Heroes’.

She said: “We’re working hard to improve professional responses to CPA as well as public knowledge, and as part of that we wanted to highlight the incredible kindness, support and care being offered all around the UK.

“It could be that a family has come into contact with a professional who’s done everything they can to be there for them – a GP, social worker, police officer or teacher for example.

“But equally your CPA Hero could be a fantastic friend, family member, neighbour or colleague.

“CPA Heroes is not only about giving our heartfelt thanks to those people, but also to demonstrate that there are fantastic individuals out there who go above and beyond in either a personal or professional capacity.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing the nominations that come in, and we’ll also be getting together as a team to discuss who we’d like to put forward – so winners will either be a CPA Hero as voted for by PEGS parents or by PEGS professionals.

“We’re hoping to get a fantastic response and, if so, will look to make this an annual event to ensure we continue to give thanks to the wonderful people out there making a difference to families experiencing Child to Parent Abuse.”

Nominations are now until 5pm on Wednesday 30th November – entries should be emailed to admin@pegsupport.com and should include the name, organisation (if applicable) and address (if known) of the nominee, plus the reason you’re nominating them. Please also indicate if you’re happy for the CPA Hero to be notified of your name (we won’t make this information public).

Please note, PEGS staff cannot be included in the CPA Heroes nominations.

Celebrating 5 Years of PEGS: A Milestone Moment On 21st March, we marked a special occasion, PEGS turned five ! Reaching this milestone is something we’re incredibly proud of, and we couldn’t let it pass without celebrating the journey, the impact, and the incredible people who’ve been part of it all. To mark the occasion, we held a celebration in our office , not just to recognise five years of PEGS, but to reflect on the meaningful work that’s been achieved during that time. There was plenty of coffee, cake, and conversation, but most importantly, we shared heartfelt messages from parents about how PEGS and our team have made a difference in their lives. March was a busy month for PEGS. We’ve seen a huge increase in awareness, more media coverage, and a rapidly growing demand for our free services and workshops. We’ve now supported over 10,000 referrals , a number that speaks volumes about the need for continued awareness and action around Child to Parent Abuse (CPA). Without forgetting that during April 1st - April 9th we had over an 112% increase, which is over 220 referrals processed in 9 days. We’re incredibly honoured to have the ongoing support of the amazing organisations and individuals who’ve stood by us from the very beginning. Your partnership, encouragement, and belief in what we do has helped us grow from a small organisation into a nationally recognised voice for parental figures affected by CPA. Throughout the week, we shared some of the wonderful celebratory messages we received across our social channels, and we can’t thank you enough for your kind words and continued encouragement. As we look ahead to the future, our mission remains the same: supporting parental figures, raising awareness of CPA, and driving change in regional and national policies. From day one, that’s been our focus and none of it would have been possible without your support, your listening ears, and your shared understanding of why this work matters. From all of us at PEGS, thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to the next five years and beyond!
