PEGS will be helping to shine a light on an often-hidden form of domestic abuse during an Ipswich-based event.
The Survivors’ Voices Conference aims to highlight different types of abuse, with one of the speakers being our founder Michelle John.
Michelle said: “Thank you to the team at Vodas Training for asking me to be a part of the Survivors’ Voices Conference. It’s important when we think of those impacted by domestic abuse that we consider all forms of abuse – including CPA.
“As individuals, and as a society, we need to be mindful that abuse can impact anyone at any time – by keeping that in mind, it enables us to identify those impacted by CPA and other lesser-known forms of abuse, and to more effectively support them.
“At PEGS, we listen to, believe and empower our parents, and this should apply to anyone impact by abuse.”
Also speaking at the event is Emma Roscoe, founder of the The Kintsugi Collective, who works with women who’ve experienced intimate partner abuse to help them feel empowered to live life on their own terms again. Emma has also leads Bounce Back, Step Forward workshops for PEGS parents, focused around resilience.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm on Friday 13th May at The Hold in Ipswich, with tickets costing £75 (to include lunch). Email events@vodastraining.co.uk for more information or to book your place.
